I am looking for some advice on the Google tool, I wonder if you can help.

I often search and there are 1000′s of results displayed in the Approx Avg Search Volume column yet the data from the previous month is “Insufficient Data”.

This does not make logical senses to me as how can there be no search volume (Insufficient data) during previous months if there are 1000′s on an average month.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Goran Web -

You asked; “how can there be no search volume (Insufficient data) during previous months if there are 1000’s on an average month.”

You see this when the search usage is not constant. It is possible to have, say, 6k searches average per month for the year but if no-one searched during the previous month, then it flags as ‘insufficient data’

E.G., the top search on Google Trends today is ‘quinn cummings’ Do a search on that and it shows Feb 2,400, Avge 1,300, Jan and and all the rest as insufficient data!

I like to use googles keyword tool and one other one. I find some unique terms on each one and sometimes the way they are worded makes a big difference.

Google keyword does show some good long tail keyword terms. I also would use 2 other keyword tools to check how they really work out. Sometimes terms are shown in different order on different keyword tools. You can see how much some people pay to advertise on sites with the keywords also.

    This is a wonderful tool.

Long tail keyword tools are really a rare thing to find. Google is a dominating player in the keyword marathon. And this tool is like another mile achieved.
